Opening hours
The Society will open at 10am on Wednesday 16 April. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Here you will find some of our frequently asked questions for our AGM.
Please look carefully at the voting conditions in your pack. Broadly, you need to be a first named account holder, with either or both of a mortgage and savings account with the Society that you have held since 31st December 2024. You need to be over 18 years of age and have not less than £100 in your savings account or owe the Society not less than £100.
If you intend to use your proxy voting form, your completed proxy form must be received by the Independent Scrutineers at Civica Reform Services, London, N81 1ER no later than midnight on the 21st April 2025. A prepaid envelope has been provided for your convenience.
If you intend to vote on the day by attending the Annual General Meeting, it will be held on Thursday 24th April 2025 at IWM Duxford, Duxford, Cambridgeshire, CB22 4QR at 2.00pm, details of how to join are contained in the email, on the proxy form and on our website.
You can vote in branch by popping your voting form in, but please remember this must be done before close of business Thursday 17th April 2025.
If your proxy voting form is received after midnight on the 21st April 2025, or is incorrectly completed, it will not count. So, if you decide to send your proxy voting form by post, please sign and return it, as soon as possible, in the prepaid envelope provided.
Completed proxy voting forms must be received by the Independent Scrutineers by no later than midnight, Monday 21st April 2025. You can, of course, vote in person at the meeting (this is subject to having pre-registered).
If you do not return your proxy voting form by midnight 21st April 2025 or attend and vote in person at the Annual General Meeting on 24th April 2025, your vote will have been forfeited.
If you wish to change your instruction as to how your proxy should vote and have used your proxy voting form, we can send you a replacement proxy voting form. Alternatively, you may vote at the Annual General Meeting on Thursday 24th April 2025 provided you notify the Society Secretary in writing before midnight 21st April 2025 of your desire to cancel your proxy appointment. If you require a replacement proxy voting form, please supply your name and address and we shall arrange for a replacement to be sent to you. In the event of more than one proxy voting form being received, the proxy vote counted will be the last instruction received by the Independent Scrutineers.
Please accept our sincere apologies. Please contact us to supply your new details and if you are eligible to receive the AGM pack, we will arrange for it to be sent to you at your new address.
Please pop into a branch, contact us or send a letter outlining the details of the change and include a copy of the marriage certificate/deed poll addressed to at Saffron House, 1a Market Street, Saffron Walden, Essex CB10 1HX.
